Get with it.

I am really envious of people that are thoughtful. Not only thoughtful but also deliverers of this noted thoughtfulness. Are you following me? No? Let me explain.
I am constantly thinking of my friends and family and ways to surprise or make them happy, however I am flawed. I RARELY follow through with my thoughtfulness.

My fun friend Jordan (aside from bestie, Danielle) is the "Deliverer of Thoughtfulness". It will be etched onto her headstone. (Taylor,  you're morbid) It will be added to her business card.

Fun Friend Jordan won an award from University of Texas for being fantastic and this is especially  great to receive after one year of teaching. Then our school district honored her for being awarded from UT. Im ridiculously proud of her and thought for WEEKS about what to get a girl that has everything as a congratulatory gift.

Then on the eve of her award ceremony she gives ME A GIFT. Just because.
Just because my fun friend Jordan is awesome.

I hate it when it this happens.
I feel....
I feel.... Owned.
I have good intentions and I try but then BAM. Fun Friend Jordan follows through aaaand... Owned.
She gifted me when I should have gifted her. Owned.
I am beyond grateful..but.. seriously, Taylor,
Get your S*&# together

I would also like to send more thank you cards.

Cant wait to pass out early tonight...like right now.

Notice and appreciate small favors that your co-workers do for you. And thank them whole heartedly.
Happy week!

moustache partay

I should be doing lots of other things right now like cooking dinner, cleaning out my car, preparing my lunch for tomorrow, doing my laundry, dominating p90X ab ripper workout, tackling the last set of projects to grade orrrr PACKING for Dallas for KRICKS engagement party tomorrow.

but no.

I would like to blog. So blogging I will do.

Yesterday Fun Friend Jordan and I celebrated moustaches at a moustache party. Well, technically a happy hour....but who doesn't like the sound of attending a moustache party? GLORIOUS.
I like spelling moustache...moustache...instead of mustache because it sounds and looks fancier.
I like fancy things.
Including penguins because they look fancy.

I also love running into my friend Clark that I know from when I lived in Dallas. I have a new game.
Its called "guess how many events I will go to and run in to Clark"  because it happens a lot.

I also look like an unpopular German that existed in the earlier half of last century. Sick.

The way a movie should be watched

Ok I had to follow that post with something a little more cheerful.
Last night I was taken to the RITZ theatre in downtown Austin. It was stinkin fantastic!

We arrive to find an enormous line all waiting to see the same move "Funny People". The boys told us to hold on a second and left Jordan and I waiting out front. A few minutes later they return poking their head out the other set of double doors (the one with out the line) and notion us to follow them SKIPPING the LINE. Once inside this old theater there is a lady waiting for us by a door with a circular window that states "Employees only". We follow her as she carries this bucket of champaign and four glasses through the kitchen to a back staircase, up 3 flights of stairs, through another theatre, into the projector room and then finally to our VIP seats in the balcony!

In the balcony were four gigantic leather RECLINING seats that extend to FULL HORIZONTAL position screaming our name. We had our own personal waiter delivering us 2 pitchers of Sangria and my 5 year old kids meal.... chicken strips (i bet you thought I was going to say cheeseburger...but I had one for lunch remember!!)

We decided our only complaint is that they should also have soft blankets waiting for you because I was FReeeeeeeeeeEEEEEZING.

It will be hard to ever watch a movie in a theatre normally again.

Movie Review: Long, hysterical, surprising. See it.

A Reason to Love

A Reason to Love....
......Canoeing on Town Lake

My FUNNEST friend Jordan and I decided to take her adorable pooch, Tucker, to Barton Springs yesterday. We splashed around with the other dogs and then rented a canoe!

I live in the most beautiful city.

Tuck is such a good boy!

Then we got root beer snow cones!
