GG

In honor of Monday (FUNday) I decided to put up a very "Monday" post (even though it is Sunday night). I love Gossip Girl and basically live my weeks FUNday to FUNday. My world stops Monday nights, except I work Monday nights, so really my world stops when I have time to watch the DVR I recorded of my beloved guilty pleasure.

My obsession with Blair Waldorf is evident in everyday life. I buy trendy headbands that I'm usually too afraid to wear, dresses with lace that demand class, and earrings with pearls that scream "I'm an Upper East Manhattan socialite like Blair Waldorf and throw lavish parties"

Well when cleaning my room today I stumbled upon this little treasure

Thats right! Taylor Nicole at age 6 sporting the Blair Waldorf headband long before Blair Waldorf knew what a headband was! Just look at her strutting MY style!

gorgeous isn't she?

Now, if only I knew for certain it was the headband that could win this sexy bad boy's heart.

MMMMM! CHUCK BASS! Just look at his mysterious squint.  The fact that Ed Westwick is really British but can pull of an American accent while acting only makes him that much more dreamy.

Is it bad that whenever Chuck Bass is whispering sweet nothings into Blair Waldorf's ear I pretend its me?

Yeah, I thought so.

Inauguration Day

Today was a big day and I wish I didn't have to work so I could perch in front of the t.v. and soak it all in.

I have heard so many opinions on Christianity and the election and I read this post today from a blog that I visit regularly. This family is outstanding and I learn from them and look up to them constantly
Just take this into consideration.....

"Today is historic. America celebrates the inauguration is it's first black President.

I don't care if you have a big Republican elephant tattooed on your neck, if you are a Christian, today is to be chalked up as a victory.

There are a couple non-negotiables that all Christians must support. Yes, abortion is one of them. But so is racial equality. We need to focus on what we have in common, not what divides us. Today is a one of those "small step ... giant leap" kind of days.

A people group that was oppressed and enslaved for hundreds of years are now sending a representative to be the most powerful person in the world. This is a story of redemption and restoration. These are the kinds of stories that Christians like.

Jesus' mission was to launch the reign of God on the earth, through his birth, life, death, and resurrection. Today we see a small bit of that reign invading our broken, sinful, racist world. God is still in the business of putting broken things back to rights.

... and for that, we celebrate!"

I am a hay bucker

So many of you are probably wondering WHERE ON EARTH I disappeared to for so long. Sorry to be so MIA but I needed to get out of Dallas. :)
Instead I occupied my time BUCKING HAY! Aren't you proud?!! I am! Those things are HEAVY... 60-70 pounds!
I felt accomplished :) taHA!

WHERE ARE THESE NEWSPAPERS COMING FROM?!?!

Ok. So I dont know if you would call this luck, or just a weird weird coincidence, but I see it as an unfortunate HAZARD that needs to stop.

In the past TWO weeks, I have had newspapers fly onto  my car THREE TIMES. WHAT?!?! that NEVER happens!

The first time it came from nowhere and just happened to wrap itself around my antenna slapping in the wind like a flag.
The second time I was driving and it flew up from behind the car in front of me, terrified it was going to land flat on my windshield I started to slightly panic. Thankfully a gust of wind came to my rescue and once again blew it to the right where it would continue the rest of our journey wrapped snugly around my antenna.

Today was a similar situation but less scary. The newspaper flew up from the car in front of me and was gracefully floating to the ground, and it probably still would have made it if the hood ornament didnt catch the top corner. Instead it was forced up against the front fender until I exited the highway and came to a stop.

Yeah I was "that" girl...

Today I...

Today I was handed a 4-month old child. It was just placed in my lap. No questions asked.
I cant remember the last time I held a child that couldn't talk.
I didnt know what to do with it.
Im not good at that baby talk.
You know- when everyone's voice raises 5 octaves and they start making up words?

So... I petted it.

Lets hope that instinct fades before I get one of my own.

{Ps the kids name was Horizon, cute and creative name, but you think they will call her Ho for short?}

I had a dream..

I had a dream last night that I woke up and the last 5 or so posts ALL had like 3 comments.

Then I woke up...looked at my blog...and realized (realised if you live in England) indeed it was a dream.

Does anyone even read this thing?

PS I am still very very far away from Dallas...and I'm lovin it (last bit was sung in the McDonalds theme song tune)
