John Mayer is not my favourite

(I typed favorite like favourtie because it looks fancier. Can I just start doing that to all wourds?)

Monday these three ladies and I blended in with all the UT college kids and saw John Mayer in concert.
I had never been to a Mayer concert and I must say I was not impressed.
Im an intimate concert kinda girl.
I like to be front row, know the musicians, and be their best friend.
Even if I could be John Mayer's best friend, I wouldn't.

I actually think that if I met John Mayer we would be in a fight.
Not a fist fight.
But rather an "I don't like you fight"

These seats are called
The "Teacher Seats"
because these are the only seats teachers can afford

Laurel and I were just really excited to be in a roomful of people that weren't 4 or 11 year olds (respectively) on a week night. You know...people that can go to the bathroom by themselves and people that can carry on a conversation without tattling.

All in all, my opinion
John Mayer = great guitarist
John Mayer = douche bag

and my favorite part of the whole night was being stuck in traffic and playing MASH!
my husband = NOT JAMES MORRISON (tear)
my wedding dress= lime green spandex with orange triangles
my mode of transportation= stilts

TaDa

Our house has adorable glass door knobs, original hard wood floors an ironing board that comes out of the wall and even a telephone nook in the hallway where a rotary phone once perfectly perched in 1950 when people had to stand the length of the conversation without privacy. The backyard stretches a lot and a half and has a clothes line we could use (in theory). It has built in shelves, walls that are bright colors and I have TWO closets in my room. One closet just for dresses, jackets and shoes. Our house is perfect in most ways but there is one, well two... but lets talk about the one thing.... that urks me to no end.

we. dont. have. a. dishwasher.
again
we. dont. have. a. dishwasher.

The following chain of events stem from this one, tiny, expensive issue.

I dont do dishes
so
I dont cook food that requires lots of dishes
so
I dont eat healthy
so
I cant loose that lingering 10 pounds
so
I cry when I cant zip up my pants

I always wished I could live in a different decade. Guess Robin Williams came out of his bronze coated slumber and granted me that wish.
Now I realize I may come across as spoiled and lazy, and maybe I am, but I just would rather spend my time doing other things than dishes by hand.
 For example, saving the world.

La Roommate bought a plain white prayer journal the other day at church. She asked me to decorate it for her. Then she said she would do the dishes. Her idea. I said yes. Bribe me with dishes. It will work EVERY time. Clearly I drew a giraffe, because thats what you think of when you decorate a prayer journal.
or because Im going through a giraffe kick and cant stop doodling them.

I will probably be changing my blog banner to some sort of version of the one below

Check out La Roommates blog. she's new. so show her some love.

la Gentleman + Burgers

"La Gentleman" took me for burgers last night. It was SO tasty. Probably my favorite burger this far....but I say that everytime. I usually dont put mayonaise on my burgers but this time I kept the burger as is, and I was pleasantly surprised. I should do that more often.
Then we went to celebrate "La roommate's" (who is angry her nickname is only la roommate) 24th birthday! I put her present in a Jonas Brother bag.

Did I mention "la gentleman" is also "la funny"?
the people at the party thought so too

Oh yeah...Brother has a girlfriend. Weird. The last time he liked a girl enough to make her is girlfriend, I was in high school, and so was he. She must be somethin'-Can't WAIT to meet her!

sNOw go

It SNOWED in Austin today....for like 7.5 seconds. Well not actually...but if you blinked you could have missed it. It was so refreshing to see the amount of joy in the childrens faces. Some have never seen snow before. It was cute to see them so excited. Last time Austin saw an inch of snow was 6 or 7 years ago...and the time before that was 1985! This, of course, is Texas and snow doesn't stick so snowmen were a no go.

"La roommate" and I (dont think if Ive mentioned that we work together..oops) snuck out to steal a picture and frolic in the "snow".

Do not mistake the snowflakes for dandruff

you can see a teeeeeeeny tiiiiiiny bit on the jacket

It also made listening to Christmas music feel a little more natural. I havent been able to get in the spirit yet this season despite my daily dose of hot chocolate. Maybe I need to drink them in a Starbucks red cup.
